Itinerary
Most of our tour itineraries & packages are private as we aim to clear the ground for purely-cultural experiences while maintaining the delivery of personal service. However, we may take shared bookings on some occasions when the group (maximum 8) is already set. The featured price can change based on the number of passengers & the category of the desert camp.
Day 1 – Fes – Ifran – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga
After having breakfast in your hotel/Riad, your experienced & English speaking private driver/guide will take you for a journey of a lifetime experience. You’ll drive the Middle Atlas Mountains with its cedar forests including a short break in Ifrane (nominated as the 2nd cleanest city worldwide in 2015), it’s often called Switzerland version city of Morocco due to the unique adopted architecture.
You’ll include another stop for taking pictures with the possibility to spot or even feed the endangered Barbary Apes residing in this forest. Continue on the track further south crossing the city of Midelt, known for the production of apples, then through the snaky High Atlas Mountains to Ziz Valley with its palm trees, Erfoud before reaching the vast golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi.

Day 2 – Explore the Desert Area & Camel Trek
After having breakfast in your Riad/Auberge, you’ll spend a day full of adventures & unique encounters starting with an overview of the traditional irrigation system known as “Khettaras”. Drive to Khamlia Village & have a time of entertainment by the spiritual Gnawa Music using drums & castanets. This village is inhabited mainly by people who were brought as slaves from the sub-Saharan Lands in the 17th century.
You’ll have a complete circuit around the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi including a visit to a nomad family with the possibility to share a mint tea with them while learning about their unique style of life. You’ll have the chance to taste the popular “Berber Pizza” or “Madfouna” for lunch before driving back to our Riad.
After a time of relaxation, you’ll have a camelback journey through the soft sand dunes attending the majestic of the sunset or go for sandboarding. Return back to the glamping camp for dinner before culminating the day with a relaxing sleep in your private ensuite tent or under the stars.

Day 3 – Merzouga – Tinejdad – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
Early wake up in the morning, attend the stunning view of the sunrise. Have a nice breakfast under the sunlight, take a refreshing shower before continuing on the track west including a visit to the fossil museum in Erfoud.
You’ll drive through Tinejdad, then to the popular Todra Gorge (Canyon) where you’ll have a nice walk while enjoying the cooler breeze. These canyons have attracted mountain climbers from all over the world and have been an ideal escape for locals from the heat especially in summer. After lunch, you’ll continue further west to the Dades Valley.

Day 4 – Dades Valley – Ait Boutghrar – Skoura – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, you’ll drive in the barren desert taking an off-road to the gorgeous village of Ait Boughrar including a visit to the Berber family that still lives in the cave. They are known for their hospitality, generosity, and simplicity. Continue on the track through the Valley of Roses including a guided tour to the well-preserved Kasbah of Amredil in Skoura.
In the late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Africa) with the possibility to visit the 17th-century Taorirt Kasbah before driving to our Riad.

Day 5 – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – High Atlas – Marrakech
After breakfast, you may include a visit to the Atlas Film Studios, then drive to dramatic Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. This village consisting of numerous Kasbahs (fortresses) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has been turned into a backdrop for making films including Hollywood celebrities such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Prince of Persia and many others.
After the guided tour of the Kasbah, you’ll continue on the track to Marrakech driving through the High Atlas Mountains over the Pass of Tizi n’Tichka. Get inspired by the Berber Village that built-in adobe and stones with its panoramic views. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon and escort to your Riad/hotel.

Day 6 – Full Day Guided Tour of Marrakech
After having breakfast in your Riad, you’ll spend the day exploring Marrakech with an English speaking private tour guide. Visit the botanical gardens of Majorelle and Saint Laurent Museum. Have a guided walking tour through the old Medina including a visit to the 15th century Saadian Tombs, then through the Mellah (Jewish Quarter) to the Bahia Palace.
Meander around the vibrant alleyways of the Medinas with its Souks that are divided into sections based on the specialty. Get to the Jemaa El-Fna Square (the focal point of Marrakech) that turns into a carnival in the evening filled with magicians, musicians, storytellers, snake-charmers, acrobats, and food stalls. Your guide will escort you back to your Riad in the late afternoon or farewell to you in your chosen location.
