Day 1 – Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Agdz – Nkob
After having breakfast in your hotel/Riad, your private driver/guide will take you for a lifetime experience starting with a nice drive through the High Atlas Mountains. This mountainous chain stands like a wall dividing Morocco’s south from its north with its unique and varied landscapes, fauna, and flora. You may include a short break in the heart of the mountains to learn about how the extraction of Argan oil from the seeds is taking place by local women.
You’ll divert from the main road taking a second one down to the isolated village of Telouet. It’s in here one of the most beautiful masterpieces of Moroccan architecture still in existence challenging the wrath of time. Even though most of this castle is crumbling you’ll have an overview of how greatness can be achieved even in the middle of nowhere – Lords of the Atlas as described is the perfect example.
You’ll continue on the track further south along the lush valley leading to the majestic village of Ait Benhaddou. The latter consists of numerous Kasbahs (fortresses) built in adobe and stone on the edge of a hill to stand as a watchful eye & shelter against possible attacks.
After lunch, you’ll continue on the track further south crossing the volcanic mountains of the Anti-Atlas with its majestic geological formations. This will lead us to the Draa Valley which is dotted by palm trees to Nkob Village which marks the end of today’s journey.

After taking pictures, you’ll continue to the desert of Erg Chebbi where you’ll have a camel ride journey to attend the majestic view of sunrise.
