Itinerary
Most of our tour itineraries & packages are private as we aim to clear the ground for purely-cultural experiences while maintaining the delivery of personal service. However, we may take shared bookings on some occasions when the group (maximum 8) is already set. The featured price can change based on the number of passengers & the category of the desert camp.
Day 1 – Fes – Ouazzane – Chefchaouen
Early pick up from your hotel/Riad, then head north to Chefchaouen through the dramatic Rif Mountains. You’ll include short breaks for taking pictures so that you can make the journey more enjoyable and stress-free.
Chefchaouen is a tiny town that you can explore without the services of a local tour guide; however, we can arrange one for you if you are keen to user their services. You can start your tour from the Outta Hamam Square, visit the Kasbah (Fortress). This Kasbah is located in the heart of the Medina, it was built in the 15th century by Moulay Ali Ibn Rashid to organize attacks against the Portuguese invaders.
From there, you can walk up through the blue-painted streets with its small shops selling souvenirs with affordable prices. You’ll get to the Ras el-Ma Spring, which is a popular attraction with local women can be seen doing their laundry and boys playing soccer. The view from here is miraculous, you may want to have a fresh mint tea or an orange juice while enjoying this attraction.
Later, you can walk back to the main square where you’ll have a nice lunch while watching the passers-by. After that, you can have another walk within the nearby streets. In the late afternoon, your private English speaking driver will get you back to Fes.
We’ll make sure to drop you off at your chosen accommodation or arrange with the staff members of your Riad. They can come over to escort you if you are staying within the old walls of Fes’s Medina.
